ASSIDJE: Association for the Safeguarding of the Island of Djerba

ASSIDJE is committed to preserving Djerba’s cultural and environmental heritage while promoting sustainable tourism. The association restores historical landmarks, develops a Sustainable Development Observatory, and publishes cultural guides to highlight the island’s rich history. Through the Destination Management Organisation (DMO) initiative, ASSIDJE enhances tourism governance and marketing. It also supports professional training and regulatory adaptations to foster alternative tourism.
